Exhibitions > Inga Schunn: WET

Inga Schunn is a writer, singer, curator, and multi-disciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, CA whose practice aims to examine the perspectives, rituals, and modes of communication associated with the psychological and spiritual relationships inherent to human existence. Her work uses photography, performance, sound, dance, installation, and cinematic language to invoke participation of addressing contemporary issues within the commodification of spiritual endeavors and the oppressive notions found within heteronormative romanticism. For Wet, Schunn prepared a site-specific installation composed of vinyl photographs displayed at the bottom of the pool; a poem presented in the form of endless rolling credits; and performed a new version of the ancient ritual of invocation.
